Star Spangled Banner. You Drop A Cymbal. What Do You Do?
I had to “present colors” a number of times while in the US Air Force. This consisted of presenting flags while the national anthem plays. I had never messed up a flag presentation, whether it be in front of 15 people or a couple thousand (my record), so I can’t imagine the terror that went through this young man’s mind. Frankly, I can think of worse things to have done, and at the very least, he showed respect to the flag.
(Also, to his credit, it’s probably harder to hold onto cymbals than it is to hold onto the flag.)
(To his discredit, his salute could use some work.)
