Minnesota Vikings: New Uniforms
I don’t post a ton of stuff about the Vikes on here (despite them being my favorite team, with me living in Northern Virginia, which is Redskins / Cowboys / Ravens territory), mainly because I know how many anti-American-Football fans there are there. But there’s one thing I can’t resist posting: new uniform designs.
Much like cars (which I don’t know much about mechanically, unless something goes wrong and I foolishly think I have the ability to fix the problem using online databases), I like the pretty outside skins, but don’t know about the inner workings of cars, or the game of football. The one time I think I really know what’s going on is when I play a few games of Madden 2002 for my lovely old Playstation 2. What I’m saying is that I LOVE uniform design. Two of the greatest examples for me are the Denver Broncos and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the 1990s. Both teams had some pretty horrible uniform designs until that point, utilizing some ugly oranges to add some flash to their looks. Then, some really new designs came into play, and suddenly both teams looked better than any other teams in the league. Smooth, updated styles replaced clunky, overly-detailed logos and ugly color schemes.
I’ve never not-liked the look of the Minnesota Vikings, but I still wouldn’t mind a drastic change in appearance, if only to have something to throwback to when the semi-annual “Throwback Uniform Games” come up. Anytime they do, the Vikes don’t look very different. They found a decent uniform design and color scheme at the beginning of their life (although the uniform was a bit plain from the start), and they haven’t had to change it much in the decades since their inception. There’s the old adage, “Don’t mess with a good thing”, but change is sometimes a great thing to inject new life into a franchise in the National Football League.
Below are a couple examples of unofficial uniform designs that I would have been happy with, if only for a change. The actual new-uniform design (which isn’t overly different from older designs) can be found here, and other, more drastic fan-made designs can be found here and here.

Tattooed Pierced Woman
There’s a beauty to body art. The only problem I have with piercings and tattoos is that, when I was still single, I was so intimidated by women who had even half of this woman’s body art. I was basically afraid to ask them out, because I was amazed by their bravery, and I thought they were 10 times cooler than I was, having only a few earrings at the time, and no tats. Now, at age 37, I want to make fun of someone who looks like this, partly because I’m still intimidated by their appearance. I also think that this many piercings puts you at a disadvantage in the workforce; but at the same time, you have to be yourself or you may end up hating yourself.

What I Did Last Weekend: I Saw A Batmobile (replica)
And it was amazing. This is my favorite Batmobile, despite not loving the show when I was a kid. The car itself is just amazing.
