My First Attempt

Yeah…this looks awful. But it’s a first shot. I couldn’t find a photo editor on the school computers, so I used this: Pixlr. It’s basically photoshop lite++ (or extra lite, like Michelob Ultra), but it got the job done. The school assignment was to merge 2 photos, and so I did.

I’m going to devote this site mainly to my artistic endeavors from here on out, with only occasional junk-posts. Should be fun.

65 Years Ago Today, The USA’s Worst Industrial Disaster

This is Texas City, Texas on April 16, 1947.

Frustrations and Tribulations, no tribbles.

I think the main reason why I don’t post so often anymore is the annoyance with WordPress.com’s picture-posting feature. You can upload as many photos as your storage will handle, but you have to post them one…..(4-5 clicks)….by one….(another 4-5 clicks)….and so on. I finally looked for a solution, and there is one….on WordPress.org. The .org blogs (or “orgies” as I like to call them) can put a lot more doo-dads on their blogs since they’re privately hosted. Since I’m just hosted on WordPress’s plain-ol hoster, I can’t partake in these mysterous plug-ins. So, I emailed WordPress’s help department to see what I could see. If I don’t get much in the way of progress, I may just go elsewhere, like back to Blogger which is cludgey, limited option-wise, and kind of bland…but it’s easy. At least with them I can post 5 pictures at a time, instead of one-by-one. Sure, I can’t save stuff in an online gallery, but I don’t want to. I just want a simple blog. Maybe later, with my graphics design education (in-progress), I’ll expand the blog into something a bit more. Till then, this is it fellas. I hope WordPress comes through for me and all other .com bloggers.
